Penn Yan Bed and Breakfasts
Yates County Fairgrounds, Old Rte 14A, Penn Yan, NY 14527.

 There was a, tiny dog,
in a, very tiny cage,
She was, lost & all alone,
at a, young & tender age.

Her vocal cords, had been cut,
Her, captors wouldn't help,
With all her might & courage,
She let out a, tiny, little,"yelp".

The angels looked down,
as angels, were prone to do,
They, amplified her song,
This, dog's day, was way, over, due.

It was the, bark heard 'round the world,
And it was, heard by every boy, every girl,
And the children prayed, with all of their might,
That somebody, would listen, step-up & fight,
That this tiny dog would be, in the arms of a hero, tonight.

The angels went to God,
with these types of things,
"How can you just let this happen?"
Aren't dogs, just angels, without wings?

And God continues to tell them,
"Be patient with the human race,
I know the human heart,
I put love within that space."

"Humankind is learning,
Becoming more aware,
I know the human heart,
Don*t you even think, that I don*t care."

"I have a team of workers,
Some are bikers, some are saints
I'm gathering them together,
In New York, in the fairgrounds, at Yates."

"Yes, I'm gathering up my forces,
To stop what I abhor,"
I said, "Rescue my dogs, my cats, my horses,
for I have heard a mighty roar!"

It was the, bark heard 'round the world,
And it was, heard by every boy, every girl,
When the animals played, it was a, beautiful sight,
An end to all their horror, their terrible fright,
And for once, a tiny dog*s future, shined bright!!

Dedicated to all those who help animals!!!

Hello!

We are getting so very excited about the plans for “Bark” and wanted to send you the latest information for the event. Thank you so much for joining us at what we hope will be a yearly event to educate the public about puppy mills, or a yearly event until there are none! We are excited with the responses that we are getting from rescues and shelters from the many states that will be joining us that day. I just can’t wait to meet you all!

This event is so timely for upstate NY, as one of the “kennels” in this area was just granted a permit to increase the size of his operation from 60 to 260 dogs. That just drives us more to do everything possible to get the word out about this inhumane practice!
Link to Hotel registration form
Please find attached a registration form for the event and a list of hotel accommodations. We have blocks of rooms in some of the hotels, and all of that is noted on the list. Many are pet friendly, but we have also listed other choices for those of you that will not be traveling with your pets.

Hotel List for  “A Bark Hear Around The World”

Yates fair ground registration form

Many of you have asked for any rules that we have for “Bark”. You are free to bring any material that you would like to share, and to sell anything that you have as a fundraiser for your group. You may also feel free to bring pups that you have for adoption, but our only stipulation is that there are no on-site adoptions that will occur that day.

I am happy to send directions to you, but knowing that you are all coming from many different states and parts of NY, I thought I would first provide the address of the fairgrounds for you to mapquest, and then if you need additional directions I will address that personally.

That address is: Yates County Fairgrounds, Old Rte 14A, Penn Yan, NY 14527.

The fairgrounds are easily accessible from the western and eastern sections of NY using the NY thruway to Exit 42 – Geneva. From the south the thruway can be accessed on the Eastern side of Pennsylvania by Route 81N and on the Western side of PA from 79N.

Please feel free to email with any other questions that you may have about “Bark”. We ask that you crosspost information widely and encourage others to join us that day. I will send updates as we get the schedule for Saturday and the Friday night candlelight vigil in place.

Thank you!
