Christopher Robin 2008, and still he waits
Christopher Robin is a 7ish yr. old large Miniature Poodlenosed Puppy. He is a damaged dog from the hell holes of the Lancaster mills. He is about 20 pounds and is just stunningly beautiful.

Christopher has been in rescue over 2 years now. We do feel he has some issues that may never improve. He is unable to truly process some of the ordinary things most dogs learn in a few days. Like normal household sounds. He is aggressive yet fearful. He is high high energy and needs a calmer larger female pup to bond with. He would like to be aggressive at times to me but we have an
understanding. He would need to go to an experienced home due to this. He can be food aggressive also. Although more dog oriented in this regard. He is occasionally aggressive with some of the others here but backs down fast. He can be a bully . I believe in Christopher's mind he wants to be an alpha but sadly he does not have the courage to actually deserve this title in the pack.

I hate to actually post this as it seems so negative for this very wonderful fellow. Yes, he is wonderful. He does play and run and actually gives me kisses now. He comes for pets and interacts appropriately at times, briefly.

I have discussed medication therapy with his Vet. My Vet feels it is dangerous in a dog that may be thinking about biting. It decreases the bite inhabition and will actually allow him to bite...

So onward we march, taking great satisfaction in the tiny slow improvements of this survivor of the mills. For it is the millers I hate and blame. And Christopher I love , for he is not responsible for his 5 years in hell that damaged him.

If you can provide a special home for Christopher Robin, with no children, experience with difficult dogs, a fenced yard and a calm large female..will you consider this Poodlenosed Puppy??

If you feel you could help support this wonderful dog in the life lessons he is needing, and love him even if he can't..maybe you are the one for him.
He is the Red Poodle in the picture..he is on the bed with one of his friends Smilin JJ..Smilin JJ stood his ground with Christopher and now they are buddies:))
