Bijou's
story!! |
 |
Hello! My name is Bijou, I am a 6
year old Yorkie
from a puppy mill. I spent over 5 years in that place
before I was rescued with another Yorkie, Sundance.
We went to live with a very nice lady, her name is
Auntie Gail. She says that I was a favorite at her
house, all I know is I love to be held and petted, and
I LOVE to give kisses!!
My Mommy saw me on the website and just HAD to have me
as her very own baby! When she was approved, she
began making arrangements to get me home to her in
Washington State.
I was busy too, Auntie Gail took me to the vet, where
they spayed me (Yippee! No more babies to be taken
away from me!), gave me my shots (I am sure that I was
brave) and had to pull 13 teeth because they were
never taken care of!! My tongue hangs out sometimes,
but my Mom says I look cute like that!!
My Mommy was very frustrated, she could not get the
middle 'legs' filled on my trip, and it wasn't looking
very good, when a miracle happened! A lady from
Keeshond Rescue heard of my Mom's problem, and offered
to get me a ride with a Keeshond bound for California.
Well, this lovely lady named Monica (my Mom says she
is an Angel in a Tahoe) drove me and a Keeshond from
Missouri to California. There, she dropped off the
Keeshond and picked up a Poodle and an Australian
Cattle Dog. She traveled up to Washington State to
meet my Mom.
When I first met my Mom, I really wasn't too sure
about her, after all, I had spent an entire week with
Monica, and I liked her a lot!! I was pretty nervous
too, that Australian Cattle Dog was a puppy, and he
was jumping around a lot!! My Mommy called, "Amy",
and I went right over to her, she knew who I was.
Mommy hugged Monica and took me (and all my stuff!)
and the Australian Cattle Dog from Monica, and we
started for HOME!
I sat on Mommy's lap, and that silly puppy sat on
Kaila's lap, but he didn't sit still at all!! We had
to wait in a parking lot for the Australian Cattle
Dog's new family to come get him, it seemed like we
waited forever! I was so happy when that Australian
Cattle Dog left us and went with his new family, now I
had my Mommy all to myself!
I now am living in a lovely home, I have two other
girl-people that love me, Jayme and Kaila. The
boy-person that lives here, Brian, is a big guy and he
scares me, so I bark at him. He keeps petting me,
feeding me and carrying me around, but I still don't
care for him much. I also share this family with a 9
year old male Yorkie, Randy, a 5 year old female
Rottweiler, Tamber, two silly kitties, Kitty Q and
Spot, and two Blue and Gold Macaws, Elgy and Max. My
Mommy loves me best, she calls me Princepessa, which
is Italian for Princess!! My Mommy officially changed
my name from Amy to Bijou after she realized that I
hadn't really bonded with the name Amy. She thought I
looked like a Bijou instead.
I love sleeping in, eating and carrying my many
'babies' around to different places in my home! The
'baby' that came with me from Auntie Gail's is the
only one that Randy hasn't played with! I think he
knows how special it is to me.
I am so happy now, thank you so very much Auntie Gail,
Mona, Jean, Monica and everyone that was involved with
my rescue, fostering and transport! My Mom calls you
all Angels, and I believe her!!
Love,
Bijou (Amy) Bilger
