Hoshi and His Brother Mushu
The day they were saved

These two boys are so naughty! They are eight months old now. They have learned how to open the kitchen cabinet and get out their puppy treats. They can do it at our house and at the petsitters house. Mickey is a thief and steals everything he can. We are constantly missing "things". He is so good at it. A couple of days ago the petsitter's husband made a sandwich, left it on the dining room table a minute and when he returned he found Mickey with a piece of ham hanging down the side of his face and mayonaise all around his lips.

They are more like cats than dogs and can climb and jump and leap from thing to thing. They are very agile. We have our hands full...and probably will for a few more months as these two rascals continue through their first year. Smile! Oh brother....I can't wait for the fall when we can get them out to the park to use up some of this energy.
They miss going to the park so much...but it is hot here...116 degrees today. It is so funny when they are naughty because they are so full of love...and just think the world is wonderful. They think everyone that comes is just here to visit them. Isn't it great compared to what their life might have been!
I am wondering about their mother. What happened to her? Did they shut down the puppymill these puppies were rescued from? What happened to her other puppies? Did Karen see the mother? Is the mother still there? It makes me sick...but for some reason...I really want to know if that poor dog is still there.
