Lady is home

Please join me in congratulating Debra and Jeff Bunnell on their adoption of Lady.  Debra and Jeff have a 16 year old son and a yorkie, Gatsby.  Lady will be meeting her new family the weekend of June 3rd, when they pick her up.  Lady will be living in Vero Beach, FL.

Well, after four hours we got home. Daisy (Lady) rode along okay, she wasn't very relaxed, but she was good. I tried having her and Gatsby sit on my lap in a little fleece bed together, but it was hot and she kept sitting up, laying down. Finally Jeff put a little blanket on his lap and she made herself comfortable there for about two hours of the trip. She has pottied outside every time, and I put a pad down, but she hasn't used it. Last night she met our neighbor, Stretch, who is Gatsby's dachund friend. She didn't appear to be very impressed, but we think she will warm up. She slept in one of the wicker beds last night along with her brother, no messes on the floor all night and she even wagged her tail when I woke them up to go out this morning!

So far today, she has watched the morning news with us on the couch and as of this moment she has done both A & B outside, had a treat (One of the wormy looking ones) and is checking out her new house. Although she is rather timid, she follows us around rather than striking out on her own.

That's about all for now, but we wanted you to know everything will be fine with "little face". Sorry about the tears yesterday, but I felt so bad taking her - it must be very hard for you each time. . Oh, also about the fence, she ran all around the back yard last night and this morning and it never occurred to her to jump it or challenge it any way, but I will always be out there with her too.

Here's a little glimpse of Daisy in her new forever home.

Bless you,

Deb, Jeff, Gatsby and Daisy
