Theo's Story

Hi! I am a tiny Chinese Crested Powder Puff boy named Theo and here is my story… I was surrendered by a breeder, to a really nice lady named Gail, when I was about four months old. The breeder said I was too small and wouldn’t make any money for her. For the last six months, I have lived with Gail and a lot of other wonderful doggies who have been rescued. Each day I would go out into the big yard to play, but the other boys were bigger and picked on me! So Gail made sure I only went out with the little girls!

Even though Gail took very good care of me, I really longed for my very own forever family.  So I somehow sent wishes into the world and that’s when my new Mommy got the idea that she wanted to rescue a doggie.  She stumbled upon my picture on the Internet and fell instantly in love with me!  She thought she wanted a Yorkie, like my new big brother, but she couldn’t resist my little face!

One day, Gail put me on a big plane and I flew to New York where my new family lives!  When my new Mommy and Daddy came to pick me up they were so happy they cried!  I am finally home now with my very own family!  I have a Mommy, Daddy, a big brother Yorkie, named Coconut, and a sister cat, named Mango.  I love them all, especially Mommy, and give them kisses every chance I get!  It’s only been a week since I came home, and my new brother and I already love each other!  We share food, toys, and even nap together in the sunshine.  I don’t think I’ll have to worry about being picked on anymore!

Even though I am about a year old, I still feel like a very young puppy exploring everything!  I was amazed the first time I walked on carpeting, and even more surprised when I got to sleep with my new family in their big, comfy bed!  This is the life!  I have new toys of my own, but I can’t help collecting all of the toys in the house, and hiding them in my crate in case I want to play with them later.  I have a feeling that my new family loves me dearly and that I could get very spoiled in a place like this.  After all, isn’t it about time?

Here is a picture of me with my new Mommy.
