Hi, my name is Jerry, or at least that is what my foster mom calls me. I am a 2 year old medium-length haired Chihuahua mix (?) that weighs about  sixteen pounds. I am a very loving little boy who follows foster mom around where ever she goes. I lay at her feet when she is on the computer. I sit outside the bathroom door and guard foster mom from any interruptions when she is in there. I am very affectionate and love to sit beside foster mom's feet when she is on the couch. I get along with all my other little fur friends that live at foster mom's house. I am a VERY fast learner and listen to foster mom when she tells me something.

I like other little furkids and play well with them. I love to chew on my rawhide toys and little stuffed animals. The better-narian says I am in perfect health and that I will be a very good boy for some lucky family. I use puppy pads and know how to go outside as well. You will have to let me out regularly since I don't make any noise when I have to go out.  But, in case you don't, I will use the puppy pads every time.   I make sure everyone is in bed at night before I join them on the big bed. Foster mom has to pick me up cause I don't jump on things.  I don't know why, I just never tried I guess.   I sleep with foster mom and the other furkids. How cozy is that???  I must make a confession though.  I do snore once in a while.  I just go so sound asleep I am totally unaware of it.  A little nudge is all I need to get me to stop though.   I am a perfect watchdog, keeping an eye on foster mom and all the furkids. I am somewhat shy around strangers but am not a barker. I keep my distance and keep an eye on them to make sure all is well for the rest of the family. I will bark to let you know someone is near my yard though. I am not a beggar when my foster mom is eating. I wait very patiently for her to finish and give us each a piece of her food she calls our "snackie".

I have very beautiful soft semi-wavy hair and don't seem to shed  too much, but with someone to brush me, that should take care of that. I like taking a bath. I like getting my back scratched and my belly rubbed. Ahhhhhhhhhhh........I don't like getting my picture taken.  All the pictures are of me on my pillow.  That's where I head when foster mom breaks out the camera.  See?? Even my new picture is on my pillow

.

I know how to walk on the leash, but we have a fenced yard so I don't need the leash very often. I would like my forever home to have a fenced yard cause I like to run and explore every inch of the yard. I am sooo smart I learned how to walk nicely on the leash in about 10 minutes.  I didn't pull and I stopped whenever foster mom stopped.  Good Boy!! And I can "sit".  I learned that in about two seconds flat.  Bring on the college degree, I am so smart. I would very much enjoy the company of another furkid.  I might even be able to get used to an older skin kid.  We could play chase and explore things together.    The little ones kinda scare me.  I think I am afraid they might hurt me.  I am extremely gentle and loveable.  I went to visit a friend who had these furry things but they weren't dogs.  They called them cats.  I didn't bother them.  They came and checked me out and I just let them.  Now, that's not to say that will be the case if I have my own "cats" .  I  would probably  try to get them to play with me.
