Mrs Beasley is a
11-13 year old Bichon. She was rescued from a mill 3 years ago. She has had
multiple mammary tumor removals. Some were benign and some were cancerous sadly.
She has been re-spay a few months ago as well. Apparently she had a piece of an
ovary left which eventually caused a heat of sorts. She has recently had an eye
removed due to an acute ligament rupture holding the lens in her eye. She ended
up in the ER clinic in the city seeing an eye specialist. Her eye was removed
and a silicone implant inserted . Initially you could not tell the
difference..but it has started to grey a bit. I spoke with Dr Darby who called
the eye Dr and he said it does happen with quite a few...so it is normal, non
painful but now you can tell which eye had the issue:((
She has a significant history of severe separation anxiety which happily has
stopped now. She also has skin allergies and takes hydroxyzine twice a day. She
is hearing impaired as well. But all in all, in spite of her issues, she is a
sweet playful lady. She sleeps on the people bed at night and is good as gold.
She is still working on potty outside...and continues to be a marker..and will
even mark the other dogs..which doesn't bother them near as much as it does me.
Mrs Beasley is a dear dear little tailless Bichon. She so deserves a nice quiet
forever home..she is a great little dog who has suffered her entire life because
of her breeding captors....her poor breeding and poor care has scarred her for
life. All I can hope is we have made it up to her a little bit by the love she
has had these last 3 years since her RESCUE!!!!!
For more information email me Eileen. I am her foster mom. We are located in

Mrs Beasley has cancer. Her path report came back today. I had found a hard
nipple..no mammary lump but a funny hard nipple. Dr Lindley said it was an
infection and cleaned it and medicated it. But it was no better so when she went
in for her Ovary removal I asked Dr Darby to double check it. He didn't think it
was anything but took off the nipple and sent out just in case because I was
worried. He did not do a mastectomy:((
The edges were clean and it appeared he got it all..as it was confined (we hope)
to the nipple. I have to watch the area for any new lumps and he will do more
surgery if needed. I have to say this will be the 3rd extensive surgery on her
poor little mammary glands and the skin is pretty taut. I hate for her to have
more surgery and feel OK at this point watching her.
Mrs Beasley still awaits her forever home
Mrs Beasley is a 10+ year old female Bichon Frise, without a tail, that has been
in rescue for over 3 years. She has come a long way since her release from the
mill.She is absolutely adorable.
She has overcome her separation anxiety and now has settled right in with our
household routine. She has overcome mammary cancer and dominance issues among
her fur mates.
She is a happy ,fairly relaxed girl that often initiates the play bow and Bichon
blitz around the house. She sleeps quietly on the people bed all night.
She does require Hydroxyzine for skin allergies but this has worked well for
her.

She continues with some minor mill baggage..she will mark if not monitored but
for the most part she is good in the house. She uses a dog door and goes out to
potty. She is crated in my absence and often just goes in on her own and is
asleep before I have even closed the door. She is clean now in her crate. This
sounds like a little thing but she was the worst poop stamper and flinger that I
have ever had here. This was due to her separation anxiety.
She walks fairly well on a leash and is not a biter. She does have some
arthritis in her neck and takes meds when this is a problem. But she has not had
an issue in a long time. But due to this she would not be a dog for a home with
smaller kids.
If you have room in your heart and your home for this overlooked jewel of a pup,
please e-mail me Eileen, for more info. Mrs Beasley is fostered in NY State.

I love to sleep on the big bed, and I do love to give kisses. Somehow though,
my face keeps attracting dirt. FM says it is like a magnet, and I hate to have
my face washed. I have this condition with my eyes that the Doctor says that my
lower eyelid rolls inward a bit and the eyelashes are irritating my eyes causing
them to water all the time. FM uses some medicine to help the irritation and it
does feel better, but I squirm and squirm when she does it. I can be a handful
but, I sure can be a loving pupster when I want to be. I can lay in your lap or
beside you on the chair and be real quiet. I don’t bark a lot, but I need a lot
of attention to make me really happy. And I give GREAT KISSES
My tummy and neck are all healed from my surgeries and my fur has grown back. I
went to the groomer this week and was a real good girl. I even let her put a bow
on my collar, imagine that!! I allowed FM to take some new pictures of me. I
tried my best to cooperate, but everyone was outside and I didn’t want to be the
only one in the house so I kept looking at the door instead of at the camera
My name is Mrs. Beasley and I am a female Bichon Frise who is between six and
eight years old. The last time I was at the doctor, I weighed 12.6 lbs. I don’t
have along tail like most Bichons do cause it was cut off when I was in the
mill, but I can still wiggle it. More like my whole butt wiggles when I get
excited. I love to have my back scratched and my butt just goes from side to
side.
I had to have surgery this month. The doctor found four mammary tumors and I
had to have them removed. I am all healed now and I feel just great. I just need
to be watched to make sure no others grow, otherwise I am healthy as a horse. I
came through the surgery like a champ. I was playing with my sisters the next
day. FM put me in a special place called an x-pen so I couldn’t get hurt. I
didn’t like being in there by myself at all and I sure let her know it.
I love to sleep in the big bed and I can jump up and down by myself, I run and
play with the others outside. I could spend all day out there, but FM says it is
too hot to stay out very long and we have to come inside to cool off.
I am waiting patiently for my “Forever family” to come for me. I am ready and I
could have my suitcase packed in a hurry. If you want to know more about me, you
can write to my FM at janesdixiedog@yahoo.org and she will tell you all about
me.
No new pictures this month. My bad brother ate the camera cord, and it is on
back order.
Love Mrs. Beasley
