A beautiful day for Mrs. Beasley

Mrs. Beasley is a smiling happy girl. The wind is in her hair and she is smelling the last blooms of summer as fall starts tomorrow.

Mrs. Beasley is a middle aged girl, weighing in at about 12 pounds. She is reported to be a Bichon Frise but she really looks like a Bichon/Poodle. She is a dominant female but so far has just postured and has had not actual fights since she has come to me. She has had eye surgery for inward faces lashes and also mammary tumor removal. She appears healthy at this time. She is a sweet girl and likes the other dogs here for the most part. She is smart and only wants to posture to those more submissive than herself. She would do well with a larger more submissive male dog or as an only dog. She is crated when I am at work and has done well. She is getting much better with her separation anxiety and has had no accidents in 2 weeks or more.
Yes, she is a work in progress but has such potential. If you have a calm, no children household, and feel you can help her learn about life in freedom won't you please consider this gem of a dog?? She lived in a mill in horrible conditions the first 6-8 years of her life. We as humans have a lot to make up to her for that terrible beginning.

In case you are wondering, she came from an Amish mill in Lancaster, Pa.

I love to sleep on the big bed, and I do love to give kisses. Somehow though, my face keeps attracting dirt. FM says it is like a magnet, and I hate to have my face washed. I have this condition with my eyes that the Doctor says that my lower eyelid rolls inward a bit and the eyelashes are irritating my eyes causing them to water all the time. FM uses some medicine to help the irritation and it does feel better, but I squirm and squirm when she does it. I can be a handful but, I sure can be a loving pupster when I want to be. I can lay in your lap or beside you on the chair and be real quiet. I don’t bark a lot, but I need a lot of attention to make me really happy. And I give GREAT KISSES
My tummy and neck are all healed from my surgeries and my fur has grown back. I went to the groomer this week and was a real good girl. I even let her put a bow on my collar, imagine that!! I allowed FM to take some new pictures of me. I tried my best to cooperate, but everyone was outside and I didn’t want to be the only one in the house so I kept looking at the door instead of at the camera
My name is Mrs. Beasley and I am a female Bichon Frise who is between six and eight years old. The last time I was at the doctor, I weighed 12.6 lbs. I don’t have along tail like most Bichons do cause it was cut off when I was in the mill, but I can still wiggle it. More like my whole butt wiggles when I get excited. I love to have my back scratched and my butt just goes from side to side.
I had to have surgery this month. The doctor found four mammary tumors and I had to have them removed. I am all healed now and I feel just great. I just need to be watched to make sure no others grow, otherwise I am healthy as a horse. I came through the surgery like a champ. I was playing with my sisters the next day. FM put me in a special place called an x-pen so I couldn’t get hurt. I didn’t like being in there by myself at all and I sure let her know it.
I love to sleep in the big bed and I can jump up and down by myself, I run and play with the others outside. I could spend all day out there, but FM says it is too hot to stay out very long and  we have to come inside to cool off.
I am waiting patiently for my “Forever family” to come for me. I am ready and I could have my suitcase packed in a hurry. If you want to know more about me, you can write to my FM at janesdixiedog@yahoo.org and she will tell you all about me.
No new pictures this month. My bad brother ate the camera cord, and it is on back order.
Love Mrs. Beasley
