 Nutmeg Louise wants a family

Won't you please help little Nutmeg Louise find her special home?? She is a 6 year old Chihuahua that is very healthy physically and fairly damaged emotionally. She lived for years in a mill churning out puppies to make money for the miller. She has obviously been abused. She has been free now for about a year and a half and she is only just now seeking me out for pets. She has to have them on her term only yet. She does follow me everywhere and comes in when called from the yard. She rarely barks and does use the dog door to go out to the fenced yard to potty. She will also use potty pads in the house. She is healthy and a large girl. She weighs about 18 pounds. She is on a diet currently.

She does startle easily and is a flight risk. She needs a securely fenced yard , no children and a patient family that does not expect perfection or a little lap dog. Due to her fear issues she has not been leash trained at this point. If you can help her progress in learning about life in freedom and love, maybe you are the home for this gentle girl. She is very submissive. Nutmeggie is starting to play with toys and in the photo she is racing to snag her foster sisters favorite toy!! Little monkey!
