Sable Anne is playing in the yard

Sable Anne is a long coated Chihuahua that is almost 5 years old. She was a very emotionally damaged dog when she was first rescued. She has been in foster care for over 2 years now. Sable is healthy physically but remains easily frightened of many things. She has finally begun coming to me for pets and is often found running around my feet for attention. Yet other times she scoots away and does not want attention. This has to still be on her terms. She follows some verbal requests and knows the daily routine well here. She sleeps in the bedroom on a dog bed. She is friendly with most of the other dogs here, but the Poodles seem to be her favorite.

Sable reguires a quiet home with a securely fenced yard and an person with no expectations of her being a little lap dog. No children please. She weighs about 12 pounds and dislikes being held. She uses a dog door or will use potty pads to do her business. She is not a big barker and is generally a quiet dog. She follows me from room to room and is interested in all activities, even the ones she still isn't brave enough to participate in.

If you would like more information on this stunningly beautiful little mill survivor you may e-mail me, Eileen. I am her foster mom. She is fostered in Upstate, NY 13148
